Headline: Visible success in bridge construction

Motif 'Bridge'

One of the most difficult challenges facing the construction industry lies in protecting and preserving building materials. Due to the wide range and diversity of materials used, as well as differences in surface structures and climatic conditions, the demands placed on the raw materials vary widely.

BASF has developed raw materials for the improvement of construction materials that provide long-term protection to concrete structures from the start. Important additives to concrete, for example, have made it easier to process, thereby increasing the load-bearing capacity of construction materials several times over and extending the lifespan of road surfaces and bridge structures. Likewise, BASF raw materials enable the protection of buildings, opening up long-term possibilities in the areas of construction and building restoration.

As a competent partner to the construction chemicals and paints industry, BASF develops high-quality raw materials and, together with its customers, tailor-made solutions. Among other things, BASF’s raw materials optimize paints, renders and coatings that not only improve the appearance of facades and surfaces but also protect them against the elements and environmentally induced damage.
