BASF in Brazil one of the most admired companies |

BASF in Brazil goes up to the 2nd position in the ranking of the "Most admired companies" in 2004, according to a research made by the renowned business magazine Carta Capital and the opinion research center InterScience. Having occupied the 3rd position in the chemical category for three years, behind Du Pont and Dow Química, BASF has now reached the second best position, tied up to Dow.
For this year´s survey a total of 1,054 executives from 40 business sectors were interviewed in the past June and July to evaluate companies in the following criteria:- Image
- Innovation
- Social responsibility
- Commitment to the country
- Capacity to compete globally
- Commitment to human resources
- Quality management
- Financial soundness
- Quality of products and services
- Customer orientation
- Ethics

The business magazine Carta Capital has a circulation of about 56,000 copies. For the current ranking, the editorial published a special edition of 38,000 additional copies.
The opinion research center InterScience headquartered in Brazil operates in all Latin American countries and implements nearly 500 projects for about 70 major customers every year.
