Three-Litre-House unveiled in Korea |

The first Three-Litre-House in Korea was unveiled on December 7th, 2005 in Yongin. BASF has built the house in cooperation with FuelCellPower Inc. and Daemlin Industrial Co., Ltd. and thus introduced this innovative housing concept to the Korean market.
Over 200 representatives from related companies and organizations as well as officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the German embassy and the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce participated in the inauguration event.
During the construction process, BASF Company Ltd. provided its highly-efficient insulation material Neopor and the latent heat retaining material Micronal as well as its extensive know-how in building energy-efficient homes.

The total investment in this newly-established two-storey residence amounts to 600 million KRW (604,700 US$). The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) contributed to the funding of the Three-Litre-House as a highly-efficient house-promoting project.
Once the effectiveness of this new house concept is officially proven, the MOCIE plans to promote the Three-Litre-House to the general residential building market.
