Occupational medicine for BASF employees is governed by laws and regulations that are specific to the country where the sites are located. These laws and regulations set the framework for preventive health at the workplace.
We actively promote the health of our employees and have adapted to the modern challenges of the working population in the 21st century. The guidelines for occupational medicine and health promotion are valid in all the BASF Group companies worldwide.
Legal requirements aside, BASF has joined Responsible CareŽ, the global initiative in fostering safety, health and environmenal awareness in the chemical industry, and has incorporated this commitment into continuously improving their standards into their values and guidelines.
We strive to offer the same high standards of medical care internationally to all our employees and aim for a common goal: work-related diseases no longer occur within BASF.
The GUA Internet and Intranet sites for the BASF Group companies have been recently redesigned, including a safety feature requiring a password to log in.
This platform offers you, as an occupational health specialist in the BASF Group or as a Responsible Care team member, access to comprehensive information about the latest developments in GUA, and activities planned for the future.
Furthermore, we would greatly appreciate if you would share your ideas and experience with employee health promotion at your BASF site.
