Congress of BASF and Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU)
To promote a constructive dialogue between politics, science and industry, BASF organized a congress with the title "Ways to sustainability - The role of renewable raw materials" on May 15, 2006 in Berlin together with the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), at which there was a panel discussion on the subject of "Renewable raw materials - action for the future" with the following participants:
- Matthias Machnig, Undersecretary at the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, SPD
- Dr. Peter Paziorek, Undersecretary at the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, CDU
- Dr. Harry Lehmann, Divisional Head at the German Federal Environmental Agency
- Professor Dr. Thomas Hirth, Fraunhofer Institute of Chemical Technology
- Dr. Stefan Marcinowksi, member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF
