 Customer benefit:
Manufacturers of plastic components purchase uncolored, standard ABS and PS plastic from BASF rather than colored material. The desired color is provided by color concentrates known as master-batches, which are supplied by partner companies. Self-coloring of the standard plastic is considerably faster than producing colored ABS or PS on a large scale. As a result, manufacturers can respond more flexibly to new color trends, and they also benefit from lower system costs. Uniform grades of standard ABS or PS from BASF are available worldwide.
