Ludwigshafen, Germany – January 14, 2008 – The transformation of BASF Aktiengesellschaft into a European Company (Societas Europaea, SE) was officially completed today with the entry of the name in the commercial register of the Ludwigshafen district court. As of January 14, 2008, the company’s name is BASF SE. The transformation process thus took less than 12 months.
